Mold & allergen screening is based on semi-quantitative indicators of the surface samples collected such as a liquid protein re-agent. The presence of protein may be attributed to the presence of mold and/or other substances such as food, other allergens or insect related substances. Since it is likely that the surface areas swabbed are not located in food preparation areas it may be deduced that results will be related to mold and/or allergens. A rare presence or no presence of mold & allergens typically indicates the presence of NORMAL/CLEAN indoor surface conditions.
